The Oliveriana Historical Library in Pesaro is a true cultural gem that embodies centuries of knowledge and history. Founded in the 17th century thanks to the generosity of Cardinal Gaspare Contarini and subsequently enriched by donations from the Bishop of Pesaro, Vincenzo Oliverio, the library takes its name from the latter and is situated in the heart of the city, next to the Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta.
With its imposing walls and shelves housing thousands of precious volumes, the Oliveriana Historical Library is a place of discovery and study for scholars, researchers and enthusiasts of history and culture. Its collection includes ancient manuscripts, incunabula, rare books and historical documents that offer a unique insight into the past of Pesaro and the Marche region.
