Descrizione

Stone speaks to us in the historic centre: carnelian comes from the nearby Gola del Burano – a distinctive white stone that clads the Clock Tower and the Town Hall façade, as well as many homes. This whiteness contrasts with the sooty façades in Via Augusto Fiorucci, blackened by the smoke produced during the terrible periods of plague in an attempt to sanitise the surroundings.
